Frequently Asked Questions and Prices

  • Yes. You stay aware and in control throughout hypnosis.
You can hear everything, you can speak or stop at any time, and you remain conscious and focused. It feels similar to guided relaxation, not sleep or being “out of it.”

  • In the first instance please reach out using the Contact button, either for further information/questions or to book in for a 15 minute discovery call.

  • Hypnotherapy and IEMT can be done either in person or online via Zoom but Psyck-K has to be done in person.

  • No my room can only be accessed by stairs. If disabled access is an issue then the sessions can be done online via Zoom.

  • The sessions cost £75 and can last anywhere from 45mins to 1hr and 15mins depending on the progress in the session.

  • This depends on what the issue/issues are and how you respond to the sessions, everyone is different. I would recommend a minimum of 2 to 3 sessions depending on the issue.

  • I work flexible hours and can accommodate if and when possible to fit in with peoples work or personal life

  • These methods get to the route cause of the issue and also have the benefit of not having to re-live and constantly talk about the issue that has caused the problem

  • Yes, completely. Hypnotherapy is a natural state - one that most people move in and out of several times a day without realising it (the feeling of being absorbed in an book, or arriving somewhere in the care and not quite remembering the journey, involves a similar shift in attention). In a hypnotherapy session, this state is guided and intentional, but it not unusual or alarming. You remain aware and in control throughout, you can speak or stop at any time, and you cannot be made to say or do anything you would not choose to do in ordinary waking life.

  • No, and this is one of the most important things to understand about the way I work. The approaches I use - particularly IEMT - are specifically designed not to require a detailed account of your experiences. We work with the emotional structure of what are carrying rather than the details, which means that you don’t have to relive things. For many people this is a significant relief.

  • Talking therapies are valuable and help a great many people, but they operate primarily at the level of the conscious mind - exploring, examining and processing experience through language and reflection. The approaches I use work at a different level entirely. The emotional patterns driving anxiety, low confidence and distress are stored in the subconscious mind rather than the conscious mind, working at the conscious level can only do so much. You may reach greater understanding, but the underlying patters often remains. The approaches I use aim to update the pattern itself. This is not a criticism of talking therapy - for some people and some situations it is exactly the right choice, but for people who feel they have talked about something at some length without the feelings actually changing, working with the subconscious mind can offer a different kind of resolution.

  • Directly after the session you may feel very calm, relaxed and lighter.

With either service you can feel emotional for a few days afterwards as your mind processes the changes. You may also feel more tired than usual. You may not feel any of this as these symptoms don’t occur in everyone.

Just try to take it easy for these days afterwards and a going for a walk in nature is very helpful to ground you.
